This is my second Juno show that I'm going to, the first being the one I went to last year. I'm from Sacramento, California, USA and personally I think that Canadian music is amazing. Canadian artists never cease to amaze me. If anyone wants to discuss the Junos or any Canadian artist - gimme a holler. Later.

Tammy G.:
I believe This Hour Has 22 Minute's Rick Mercer is hosting the Junos. I don't have any information on expected performances, but I will post them as soon as I do.

I wish I were going this year. Too bad I have to find someone to tape the show. I wish they made a bigger deal out of the fact that this is indeed the 30th Annual Awards show. Plus, it would be nice to see Bryan Adams there sometime.

Another year of Canadian music excellence has come and gone, forcing both passive and dedicated music lovers to take notice of the best acts, artists and ensembles nation-wide. Hosted by This Hour Has 22 Minute's Rick Mercer and opened by boy-band-turned-rock-guru's The Moffatts, the show captured the best, and most entertaining of Canada's diverse spectrum of talent.
Despite the Canuck overtones of the broadcast, it was an American act that first rouse the crowd. Two members of the massively popular 'N Synce briefly came onstage (to many teenage shrieks) to help introduce Nelly Furtado's live montage of her hit "I'm Like A Bird" and "Turn Off The Lights". Whoa Nelly! would prove to be the theme of the night as Canada chose to honour the Victoria, British Columbia native with multiple awards.

I'lived in Ontario for 40 odd years and was rightfully proud of the Juno's. Now that I've lived in Nova Scotia for 18 months I can't believe how shallow they are!Beyond the boring Celtic revival in these parts there is an amazing amount of musical talent in the 4 eastern provinces that doesn't get any attention at all. People like Lenny Gallant,Geordie Sampson,Paul Lamb and the amazing Ian Janes should be known by the entire country if not the world. Hey record execs! Get off your asses and look beyond idiots like Ashley McIsaac. It strikes me that the best quality music in the country is being made in Eastern Canada.
