Milkwood Tapestry: "Milkwood Tapestry" |
 |
Milkwood Tapestry was the New York duo of Joseph Ransohoff and Roland
Antonelli. The duo played together between 1968-1972 releasing only one
self-titled album on the Metromedia label in 1969. The music on the album
ranges from the wild acid guitar style of songs like "Beyond The Twelve
Mile Zone" to the laid back string laden pop sounds of "Wonderous Fairy
Tale".
This legendary album is all over the place with its folksy baroque
ballads, heavy progressive rock sounds and wild psychedelic fuzz songs . An
interesting collection that is sure to perk up the ears of any 70's rock
fan.

This superb reissue of the original album by Gear Fab records also
contains seven bonus tracks as well as liner notes by band member
Ransohoff. Although the Milkwood Tapestry was originally billed as a
folk-rock duo, the band was so much more than that and now, over thirty
years after its original release, fans will finally be able to discover
what made the band so sought after and praised in collectors circles.
Another superb Gear Fab Records reissue. For more information on Milkwood
