Lisa Brokop Profile

Lisa Brokop More proof of the excessive amount of Canadian talent. Twenty-seven year old Lisa Brokop is quickly moving toward the top of Canada's country music scene. Her latest release Undeniable is what Brokop says is "a compilation of what I feel are the very best songs I've written..." She's right!

Beginning her musical career at age seven in her native British Columbia, Brokop went professional at age fifteen. At seventeen, she won a Canadian songwriting contest that was only the first of many accolades. Signing with Capitol (Liberty) Records led to the release of two albums in three years. Every Little Girls Dream and Lisa Brokop both received critical acclamation.

Parting ways with her label in 1996, Brokop took some time off to focus on her writing, which proved to be time well spent. Her 1998 release When You Get to Be You was released by Columbia Records and displayed the growth and determination of Brokop as an artist.

Undeniable, her latest release, begins upbeat with "I'd Like to See You Try", slows down with "Keep Mom and Dad in Love" (duet with Hal Ketchum), and rolls into "Something Undeniable", a strong track which has become a fan favourite. Other tracks include "Say" (awesome!), "Don't Believe Me", and "Dark Side of the Moon."

The ten-track album is a worthy investment. With the intensity of Brokop's vocals and her soulful lyrics, you will have chills, the good kind, in your system throughout - it's Undeniable!
