With relative ease Tony Starks AKA Ironman AKA Ghostface
Killah returns with his new joint, and it’s as powerful as
his debut, “Ironman". It lacks the consistent help from
Raekwon and Cappadonna, but they assist here and there,
and Method Man, the Rza, Masta Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-god,
and the Gza come up to make a ‘where’s ODB?’ chunk of the Wu
Tang Clan present for the first time until the new record
comes out, which will hopefully be very soon.
Starks can’t keep the quality control meter going on his own.
In essence, there’s been a swarm of Wu Tang solo work,
but aside from Method Man’s continual midas touch,
this is the strongest of the pack. Excellent production,
lyrics, and cameos. Even Redman makes a brief appearance
on Buck 50, helping add an almost-but-not-quite-the-Clan
feel that’ll make you salivate for the new record even more.
Supreme Clientele" breaks the cycle completely of disappointing
Wu solo albums. In half. My only complaint, and it’s a
tiny one, is the fact that the inlay track listing has
almost nothing in common with the cd, which has several
bonus cuts.
